The track is known for its steep elevations, wide corners and most certainly, its unpredictable weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The track was inaugurated in 1972 as a non-championship race, with championship races starting in 1973. Among the active grid, three drivers have held their noticeable achievements in Brazil &#8211; Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>3. George Russell \u2013 Mercedes (2022)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Russell_(racing_driver)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">George Russell<\/a> <\/strong>got his maiden victory at the S\u00e3o Paulo Grand Prix in 2022. The achievement of his was depicted by his ability to perform under pressure and his tyre management due to the uncertain track conditions.\u00a0 This marked an achievement for the driver and the team, as Mercedes finished with a one-two podium finish with Lewis Hamilton finishing at p2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>2. Lewis Hamilton \u2013 Mercedes (2016, 2018, and 2021)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The seven-time world champion <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/drivers\/lewis-hamilton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a><\/strong> won the S\u00e3o Paulo grand Prix in 2016, 2018, and 2021. Verstappen marked his achievements in claiming victories in 2019, 2023, and 2024. The red bull driver showed his precision and dominance in his races and was well known for his aggression on the track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His 2019 pole was an intense wheel to wheel battle with Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen is currently reigning his supremacy being in the top 3 F1 standings in the current season.
