Salman Khan often finds himself in the spotlight, and once again he is making headlines across the country. The bollywood superstar’s recent statement has stirred up an international storm marking his name under the ‘suspects of terrorist.’

The fake notification of the report issued by the ‘government of Balochistan’ dated 16 October, 2025, is being widely circulated on social media. There has been no official declared statement or evidence supporting this claim.

No official evidence is available to support the claim about Khan being declared a “terrorist”.

What happened in Riyadh?

The three Khans of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, recently attended the Joy Forum 2025 event in Riyadh, which was organized by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment authority in order to explore the future of entertainment.

Apart from these Bollywood celebrities, major International creators, influencers, and actors such as Mr Beast, IShowspeed, Korean actors like Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun were also present in the event to discuss projects, AI intellectual properties and large investment announcements.

Why did it cause controversy?

During the forum, Salman Khan was sharing his gratitude and started speaking about the popularity of Indian films in the Middle East. He said: “Right now, if you make a Hindi film and release it here (Saudi Arabia), it will be a superhit. If you make a Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam film, it will do hundreds of crores in business because so many people from other countries are here. There are people from Balochistan, from Afghanistan, there are people from Pakistan, everyone is working here.”

The specific mention of Balochistan separately from Pakistan sparked the debate. The remark went viral on social media with people debating whether it was a deliberate acknowledgement of Balochistan as an individual province or it was just a slip of tongue.

According to the fake reports circulating online, in response to the statement, Pakistani authorities have reportedly added Salman’s name to “Fourth Schedule” under the act of Anti-terrorism, labelling him as a ‘terrorist’ and ‘Azad Balochistan Facilitator’.

What was the reaction?

There have been no official statements from the Federal Government of Pakistan yet so the authenticity of the notification remains under question. There is no public statement from Salman Khan or his official team addressing the allegations.

Though Shah Rukh and Aamir were present at the forum panel when Salman was commenting on this, they did not make any follow-up statements defending or supporting Salman.

Salman has a huge fanbase in Pakistan which has polarised his audience. The fans aligned with Balochistan seem to appreciate his statement while others have taken it as a great offence. According to a report, a Baloch leader described Salman’s statement as having “brought happiness to six crore Baloch people”.
