The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not just a comic book story anymore, but the decades of storytelling have now become a new pop culture. Recently, Marvel has confirmed two new, most anticipated releases set to be released in 2026. With mega projects like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday, sources have hinted towards the new release list including: Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated season 2, and The Punisher.

Major Theatrical Releases

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31, 2026)

Peter Parker is all set for his new life in his fourth solo movie subtitled ‘Brand New Day’. The subtitle itself explains a lot. Unravel the new journey of Spider-Man’s life after his identity got erased magically in the last movie. The movie is one of the most awaited project of MCU and Tom Holland is all set to swing on the theatres on July 31, 2026.

2. Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026)

Doomsday isn’t just another Marvel crossover but a major comeback moment for the fans of Iron Man. Doomsday is returning as a boon for Robert Downey Junior’s fans who were devastated with the belief that he had ended his Marvel journey for good. In 2026, Robert is returning with a completely new and darker avatar of Dr Doom, one of the most powerful villain in the history of Marvel.

Major Marvel TV Shows releasing in 2026

1. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (Expected around March – April, 2026)

Wake up New York! The devil is back in the spotlight. Set to release during March in 2026, Daredevil: Born again will mark a new chapter for Matt Murdock after his brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Echo. Sit tightly and watch Dare Devil wage all-out war on Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin.

2. Vision Quest (To be confirmed)

Vision literally went out of vision after the end of WandaVision. Only the creators know what really happened to Vision. After infinite fan theories Marvel finally decided to give our brain some rest. They are going to drop the continued story in Vision Quest in 2026 where vision will discover the true meaning to ‘be’ and how does it feel to be alive.

3. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Animated (In Fall 2026)

It’s been long since we last saw Hudson’s Peter Parker and fall of 2026 calls in for a reunion. Marvel Executive said in a interview with Collider that “We Will Have a Spider-Man Season Every Year.” So, Peter Parker fans’ life is sorted. The first season already killed it and the upcoming season has sparked discussions about the storyline which is set in an alternate timeline featuring Norman Osborn as Peter’s mentor instead of Tony Stark. While Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed it but the fans speculate the arrival of Gwen Stacy in the next chapter. 

4. The Punisher Special (To be confirmed)

Jon Bernthal once again steps as ‘The Punisher’, not to punish but reward the fans. Of course, he won’t be the same anti-hero we saw years ago. All these years of pain, loss and chaos have stirred up Castle’s story shifting towards redemption. The next storyline will focus on how he will use his rage to protect the innocents rather than punishing the guilty. He is all set to return through a special presentation introducing the supernatural corner of Marvel in Werewolf by Night and  Guardians of  the Galaxy Holiday special.

5. X-Men ‘97 Season 2 (To be confirmed)

After the massive hit of X-Men ‘97 season 1, MarvelStudios Animation is bringing the mutants back more louder, stroger and emotional than ever. The news is officially confirmed at the New York Comic Con, 2025. Season 2’s story will pick up from the end of the season 1 where we saw leadership and loyalty were all thrown into chaos. Fans are expecting the return of heroes like Jean Grey, Cyclops, Wolverine and storm.
