The contracts strengthen the company’s order book, enhance revenue visibility through FY27 and reinforce its position in India’s fast-growing smart metering and power distribution infrastructure market.
Shares of Eppeltone Engineers Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that it has received two domestic work orders aggregating Rs. 41.46 crore. The contracts include the supply of IoT-enabled feeder monitoring systems and meter installation services, reflecting the company’s growing participation in India’s smart metering and power distribution modernisation initiatives.
Eppeltone Engineers Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs.134.65 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 103.90 apiece on the stock exchange, up by 4.37 percent. It touched a 52-week high of Rs. 232.80 and a 52-week low of Rs. 91.
What are the new orders?
According to the company’s exchange filings, Eppeltone has received an order worth Rs. 2.23 crore (including taxes) for the supply of IoT-enabled feeder monitoring systems, which is scheduled to be executed by September 2026. The company also secured a significantly larger order worth Rs. 39.24 crore (including taxes) for carrying out meter installation services, with execution scheduled by October 2027. Both contracts have been awarded by domestic entities, and the company confirmed that neither order involves related-party transactions or promoter interest.
The two contracts complement each other and strengthen Eppeltone’s presence across the smart power distribution value chain. While the IoT-enabled feeder monitoring system improves real-time monitoring of electricity feeders, enabling utilities to detect faults, reduce transmission losses and improve grid reliability, the meter installation contract supports the rollout of advanced metering infrastructure required under India’s smart meter programme. This demonstrates that the company is not only supplying smart electrical equipment but is also increasingly participating in implementation and deployment services, allowing it to generate revenue from multiple stages of power distribution projects.
India’s power sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with utilities replacing conventional electricity meters with smart meters to improve billing efficiency, reduce aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses and enable real-time energy monitoring.
The government’s target of installing millions of smart prepaid meters across the country is creating significant opportunities for companies involved in smart metering, IoT-enabled grid management, feeder monitoring and related power electronics. As utilities accelerate deployment, companies with integrated manufacturing and execution capabilities are expected to benefit from sustained order inflows.
Founded in 1977, Eppeltone Engineers Limited specializes in manufacturing electronic energy meters, including smart meters, along with advanced power conditioning devices and IoT-enabled power management solutions. The company offers a diversified portfolio comprising smart electricity, water and gas meters, meter boxes, feeder monitoring systems, energy measurement devices, metering kits, LED lighting products and solar equipment.
