Profit before tax declined to a loss of Rs. 18.29 crore in Q1 FY27, from a profit of Rs. 60.85 crore in Q4 FY26. Net profit fell 20.49 percent QoQ to Rs. 36.79 crore in Q1 FY27, from Rs. 46.27 crore in Q4 FY26, while earnings per share (EPS) declined 20.34 percent QoQ to Rs. 5.56 in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs. 6.98 in Q4 FY26.
YoY View: Revenue from operations of Rs. 918.56 crore, compared to Rs. 750.64 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a 22.37 percent YoY growth. Profit before tax improved to a loss of Rs. 13.75 crore in Q1 FY27, from a loss of Rs. 14.09 crore in Q1 FY26. Country Liquor Business Leads Growth
The Country Liquor segment was the company’s largest revenue contributor in Q1 FY27, with revenue increasing to Rs. 489.08 crore from Rs. 286.34 crore in Q1 FY26. The strong performance in this business was the key driver of the company’s overall revenue growth during the quarter.
Sugar Revenue Declines
The Sugar business reported revenue of Rs. 371.32 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs. 417.80 crore in Q1 FY26. The decline in revenue indicates weaker performance from the sugar segment during the quarter.
Bio Fuels & Spirits See Lower Revenue
Revenue from the Bio Fuels & Spirits segment declined to Rs. 80.78 crore in Q1 FY27, down from Rs. 127.66 crore in Q1 FY26. The segment reported lower revenue compared to the same period last year.
Despite lower revenue from the Sugar and Bio Fuels businesses, the strong growth in the Country Liquor segment helped total revenue from operations increase to Rs. 918.56 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs. 750.64 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting overall growth during the quarter.
