The board of Ajanta Soya on 20th April 2022, approved splitting the shares of the face value of ₹ 10 each into shares of the face value of ₹ 2 each. The shares will start trading ex-split on Thursday, 16th June 2022 and the record date for the split is 17th June 2022.

“Pursuant to Regulation 42 (2) of the SEBI (LODR) 2015, this is to inform that the Board of Directors of the Company has fixed Friday, 17 June 2022, as the Record Date, to ascertain the name of shareholders entitled for Subdivision/ split of equity shares of Rs. 10/- each into five (5) equity shares of face value of Rs. 2/- each,” the company said in a BSE exchange filing.

Ajanta Soya Limited is a small-cap company in the Agro-processing industry with a market capitalization of ₹ 417 crores. The company is engaged in the production of Vanaspati, different types of cooking oil, and bakery applications. It has a strong portfolio of brands including Dhruv, Anchal and PARV.

The shares of the company have slipped 0.64% in the last five days, and up 0.71% in the past month. However, it has given multibagger returns of 129.97% in the past year and 459.61% in the past five years.
