Synopsis: Daily commuters in Bengaluru will have to struggle for the next 60 days as 2 roads near Shivajinagar will be closed for BBMP infrastructure work but don’t worry as there are some alternative routes you can take for the time being.

People who commute in Bengaluru may face problems for the next two months because some main roads near Shivajinagar and Kamaraj Road are closed, the reason for this is that workers are fixing a culvert near Nala Cross. The authorities have made a lot of changes to the traffic in this area and they are telling people to take alternative routes as this is going to be a big problem for 60 days from May 24.

The road between Vithoba Temple and Nala Road is closed to vehicles while construction is going on. If you are going to Dickenson Junction, Pulakeshinagar or Banaswadi you will have to take a different route as BBMP is taking down a stone culvert and building a new one made of RCC to help the water drain better in this area.

The new RCC culvert is part of a bigger plan to make the drainage system in this region better and they are doing all this work to make sure the road is safe and the water does not cause any problems. The road will be better when the construction of the RCC culvert is finished.

The closures will make a difference to people who travel through some of the busiest areas in Central Bengaluru like Shivajinagar, Commercial Street, Cubbon Road, Infantry Road, Dickenson Road and the areas around Cantonment. When it is time to go to the office in the morning and evening the traffic is going to be really bad, this will be a problem for people who go to the office every day, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses, school vehicles and delivery services that operate in Central Bengaluru.
