The Karnataka Permanent Resident Certificate is something that confirms your permanent residence in Karnataka. The main reason for introducing this certificate is to help residents who are eligible, prove that they have a permanent residence here during the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, you can get this document online as well as offline.

How to Apply Online via Seva Sindhu
To get the Permanent Resident Certificate you need to follow these steps :
- First you have to go to the Seva Sindhu portal.
- Then you log in using your registered number on the Seva Sindhu portal.
- Next you search for the Permanent Resident Certificate service on the Seva Sindhu portal. Select it.
- Now you fill out the application form for the Permanent Resident Certificate with your personal details.
- You also need to upload the documents for the Permanent Resident Certificate.
- After that you review all the information for the Permanent Resident Certificate. Submit the application.
- Finally you should save the acknowledgement or application reference number, for the Permanent Resident Certificate so you can track it later.
How to apply offline
If you want offline services, you can can visit any of the service centres especially made for citizens across the state, including: Karnataka One Centres, Bengaluru One Centres and Grama One Centres. You will have help in filling out the form, uploading documents where required, and submitting the request to the Revenue Department for processing so need not worry about putting the wrong information. This option is useful for people who do not have access to the online services.
Certificate Verification
After the application is submitted, the Revenue Department will look at the information and the documents that the person has provided. - Log in using your registered mobile number.
- Open the Track Application Status section.
- Enter your application reference number.
- View the latest status of your PRC application, you can also check whether it is under verification or has been approved and issued.
