Synopsis: Namma Metro services on a section of the Purple Line will be suspended for two hours on May 31 due to scheduled operational work. Metro services on other stretches will continue to operate as per the regular timetable.
Metro services on the Purple Line will be halted for 2 hours on Sunday as Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) undertakes crucial maintenance work between Attiguppe and Vijayanagar Station.
BMRCL released a statement on Friday stating that the metro station between Deepanjali Nagar and Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna (KSR) Metro station will be temporarily suspended on 31st May for 2 hours from 7 am to 9 am due to maintenance work on sections of the Purple Line of Namma Metro. During this period, metro services will continue to run as scheduled on the following corridors: Challaghatta to Mysuru Road, Kempegowda (Majestic) to Whitefield (Kadugodi), Madavara to Silk Institute, and RV Road to Bommasandra.
The Purple Line of the Namma Metro in Bengaluru is 43.49 km in length, running east-west between Whitefield (Kadugodi) and Challaghatta. The line features 37 operational stations and takes approximately 80 minutes to travel end-to-end.
They announced that the other stretches will continue to work as per their regular timetable from 7am onwards. This is done to facilitate the maintenance activities that need to be done. BMRCL stated the metro services will continue to work throughout the Purple Line after 9 am, including the section between Deepanjalinagar and KSR station.
