Synopsis: Refex Industries Limited has secured an order worth approximately Rs. 20.94 crore for ash transportation to NHAI and other central and state government road construction projects. The 12-month contract strengthens the company’s environmental services business and enhances revenue visibility.

Shares of Refex Industries Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that it has secured an order worth approximately Rs. 20.94 crore for providing ash transportation services to road construction projects undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and other Central and State Government road authorities.

Refex Industries Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 4,758.77 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 346.80 apiece on the stock exchange. The stock has declined 4.99 percent over the last five trading sessions, while it has gained 16.26 percent over the last month. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs. 464.35 and a 52-week low of Rs. 188.

According to the company’s exchange filing, the order has been awarded by a Maharashtra-based domestic entity and involves the transportation of fly ash to construction sites of projects executed by NHAI, Central and State Government road construction departments, and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) projects. The contract is valued at approximately Rs. 20.94 crore and is scheduled to be executed over a period of 12 months. The company also clarified that the order does not involve any promoter interest or related-party transactions.

The contract strengthens Refex Industries’ presence in the environmental and industrial logistics segment. Fly ash, a by-product of thermal power generation, is increasingly being utilized in road embankments, highway construction, cement manufacturing, and infrastructure projects. Efficient transportation and scientific utilization of fly ash help reduce environmental pollution while promoting the circular economy through productive reuse of industrial waste.

The order also aligns with the government’s continued emphasis on sustainable infrastructure development. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and NHAI have been encouraging the use of fly ash in highway construction to reduce dependence on natural resources, lower construction costs, and minimize the environmental impact of thermal power plants. Simultaneously, the expansion of national highways, rural roads under PMGSY, and state infrastructure projects is expected to sustain demand for specialized ash handling and transportation services.
