With a market capitalisation of Rs. 1,80,150 cr, the shares of TVS Motor Company Ltd were trading at Rs. 3794.90 per share, jumping 6% in today’s market session, making a high of Rs. 3,808, up from its previous close of Rs. 3,591 per share. 

Q1 FY27 Performance

TVS Motor Company reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of Rs. 13,896 crore for Q1 FY27, registering a 38 percent year-on-year growth compared to Rs. 10,081 crore in Q1 FY26. The company also achieved its highest-ever quarterly profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 1,174 crore, marking a 51 percent increase from Rs. 776 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company posted a record EBITDA of Rs. 1,779 crore, up 41 percent YoY from Rs. 1,260 crore. EBITDA margin improved by 30 basis points to 12.8 percent from 12.5 percent a year ago. Although commodity prices increased sharply during the quarter due to global uncertainties, TVS Motor managed to offset part of the impact through price revisions, cost optimisation initiatives, and operational scale benefits.

Highest-Ever Quarterly Vehicle Sales

TVS Motor Company reported strong sales growth across all vehicle segments during Q1 FY27 (June 2026 quarter), with total sales increasing 28% YoY to 1.631 million units (16.31 lakh) from 1.277 million units (12.77 lakh) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Among the segments, three-wheelers registered the highest growth, with sales rising 48% YoY to 67,000 units, compared to 45,000 units in Q1 FY26. Scooter sales grew 36% YoY to 680,000 units from 499,000 units, reflecting strong demand in the segment.

The company’s moped business also delivered healthy growth, with sales increasing 27% YoY to 143,000 units from 113,000 units. Meanwhile, motorcycle sales, the largest contributor to overall volumes, rose 19% YoY to 741,000 units, up from 621,000 units in the year-ago quarter, supporting the company’s overall volume expansion.

International Business and EV Segment Continue to Shine

The company’s international business delivered a 33 percent growth, with sales increasing to 0.47 million units from 0.35 million units in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, electric two-wheeler sales jumped 86 percent YoY to 129,940 units, and TVS Motor crossed the milestone of over one million EV customers, strengthening its position in India’s fast-growing electric mobility market.

The three-wheeler segment also posted robust growth, with sales rising 48 percent to 66,697 units during Q1 FY27 compared to 44,978 units in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, supported by healthy demand in both domestic and export markets.
