Order details

Suzlon has secured a 201.6 MW wind energy order from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited (WFEPL), the Independent Power Producer (IPP) arm of the Waaree Group. The project will be developed in Andhra Pradesh under Suzlon’s DevCo model, which offers end-to-end project execution. This marks Waaree Group’s first wind power project and strengthens Suzlon’s position as a renewable energy solutions provider.

As part of the order, Suzlon will install 64 units of its S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. The company will handle the complete project, including land acquisition, turbine supply, Balance of Plant (BoP), commissioning, and lifetime operations and maintenance (O&M) services, ensuring end-to-end execution of the wind project.

This order further strengthens Suzlon’s order book, which stood at 5.9 GW. Around 66 percent of the order book comes from the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) segments, highlighting strong demand from these fast-growing customer categories.

Management Commentary: Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the partnership with Waaree reflects the growing shift towards integrated renewable energy solutions and the increasing adoption of the DevCo model. CEO Ajay Kapur added that this is Waaree’s first wind project and Suzlon’s second consecutive DevCo-led EPC order within a week, highlighting strong demand for its end-to-end execution capabilities.

Pawan Agrawal, CEO of Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited, said the company is expanding its renewable energy portfolio beyond solar through its IPP business to meet India’s growing energy demand. He added that the 201.6 MW wind project with Suzlon in Andhra Pradesh is a key milestone and marks the beginning of a long-term partnership to support the country’s clean energy transition.
