In recent market activity, prominent institutional investors have expanded their holdings in key companies, signaling confidence in their growth potential. iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF and Plutus Wealth Management made notable acquisitions in Nexus Select Trust and Sammaan Capital Ltd, respectively.

iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF acquired a 0.5% stake in Nexus Select Trust, while Plutus Wealth Management invested significantly in Sammaan Capital Ltd, reflecting growing institutional interest in these firms.

Bulk Deal 1

iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF purchased 75.77 lakh shares of Nexus Select Trust at Rs 145.99 per share, totaling an investment of Rs 110.6 crore, representing a 0.5% stake in the trust. This move underscores the ETF’s confidence in the emerging markets and Nexus Select Trust’s performance.

With market capitalization of Rs. 22,437 cr, the shares of Nexus Select Trust are currently trading at Rs. 148.37 per share from its previous closing of Rs. 145.77 per share.

Nexus Select Trust is India’s first publicly listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), sponsored by Wynford Investments (an affiliate of Blackstone). Established in 2022, it owns and operates a diversified portfolio of high-quality retail assets, including 19 malls across 15 cities, along with select office and hotel properties. The trust focuses on urban consumption centers, delivering steady rental income and growth, while emphasizing sustainability and ESG initiatives.

Bulk Deal 2

Separately, Plutus Wealth Management acquired 42.5 lakh shares of Sammaan Capital Ltd at Rs 119.69 per share, amounting to Rs 50.86 crore. This acquisition reflects the fund’s strategic interest in the company and its growth prospects in the financial sector.

WIth market capitalization of Rs. 9,808 cr, the shares of Sammaan Capital Ltd are currently trading at Rs. 117.97 per share, from its previous closing of Rs. 118.43 per share.

Sammaan Capital Ltd is a prominent mortgage-focused non-banking financial company (NBFC) in India, formerly known as Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. The company offers a range of financial products, including home loans, loans against property, and financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). With a nationwide presence of over 220 branches, Sammaan Capital has serviced more than 1.6 million customers as of March 2025.
