The following are two stocks that witnessed notable price movements during Thursday’s trading session, following significant bulk deal transactions executed by mutual funds on the stock exchanges on 9th July. These fluctuations reflect investor sentiment and market reactions to the large-scale buying or selling activities observed during the period.

Akzo Nobel India Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 16,575 crores, the stock moved down by nearly 2 percent on BSE, falling to Rs. 3,567.65 on Thursday. As per the latest bulk deal on NSE, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund bought 7 lakh equity shares, equivalent to a 1.54 percent stake, in Akzo Nobel. The total deal transaction was valued at nearly Rs. 255.6 crores, executed at an average price of Rs. 3,651 per share.

Additionally, Asian Paints Limited sold nearly 20.1 lakh shares (or a 4.42 percent stake) in the company for Rs. 734 crores, while Eastspring Investments India Consumer Equity Open Limited bought about 2.5 lakh shares (or a 0.55 percent stake) for Rs. 91.3 crores, at the same average price.

Akzo Nobel India Limited is engaged in the business of manufacturing, trading, and selling paints and related products, along with providing research and development (R&D) services to its holding company and other group companies.

Sammaan Capital Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 10,785 crores, the stock moved up by nearly 4 percent on BSE, rising to Rs. 132.85 on Thursday. Smallcap World Fund Inc. offloaded a total of around 2.53 crore equity shares, equivalent to a 3.05 percent stake, in Sammaan Capital via NSE and BSE. The total deal transaction was valued at nearly Rs. 310.5 crores, executed at an average price between the range of Rs. 122.55 and Rs. 122.56 per share.

Sammaan Capital Limited, previously known as Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd., is the third-largest housing finance company engaged in the business of providing home loans and loans against property. The company also offer plot loans and loans against residential, commercial, and rental property.
