The shares of one of the leading construction and engineering companies jumped over 6% after it secured two major residential housing contracts worth Rs 1,103.56 crore from private developers in Gurugram and Bengaluru.

With a market capitalization of Rs 6,640 crore, the shares of Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd touched an intraday high of Rs 995.50, rising over 6% from the day’s low of Rs 936.05. 

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd announced via a stock exchange filing on June 27, 2025, that it has secured two major residential construction contracts with a combined value of approximately Rs 1,103.56 crore (excluding GST).

The first contract, worth Rs 821 crore, has been awarded by Whiteland Corporation Pvt. for the construction of “Urban Resort”, Housing Project (Residential) comprising 7 residential towers at Sector-103, Gurugram. The project is expected to be executed over a period of 36 months.

The second contract, valued at Rs 282.56 crore, comes from Nestled Haven Estates Private Limited and Maia Estates Private Limited and involves civil structure and architectural finishing work in Bengaluru, with a project timeline of 32 months.

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd (ACIL) is one of the leading construction companies in India with over 50 years of experience. It offers complete solutions in engineering, design, and construction for both government and private projects. 

The company has built many major projects like residential and commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, IT parks, metro stations, parking lots, and railway station upgrades. As of FY25, the company had a strong order book of around Rs 23,539 crore, with Rs 15,775 crore worth of projects yet to be completed.

The company reported a revenue of Rs 4,099 crore in FY25, up by 6.33 percent from its FY24 revenue of Rs 3,855 crore. Coming to its profitability, the company reported a net profit decline of 46.13 percent to Rs 202 crore in FY25 from Rs 375 crore in FY24. The stock delivered an ROE and ROCE of 11.9 percent and 18.5 percent, respectively.
