The shares of a solar company, specializing in solar power generation through the development and investment in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) that operate in solar energy projects, hit a 5 percent upper circuit upon declaring Q4 results with a 2,871 percent rise in Profit Year on Year (YoY).
With a market capitalization of Rs. 96.89 crores on Monday, the shares of Waa Solar Limited hit a 5 percent upper circuit, making a high of Rs. 73.03 per share compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 69.56 per share.
Waa Solar Limited, engaged in solar power generation through the development and investment in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) that operate in solar energy projects, has announced its Q4 results as follows.
Its Revenue from operations rose by 357 percent YoY from Rs. 3.04 Crores in H2FY24 to Rs. 13.9 Crores in H2FY25. However, it declined by 3.5 percent on a half-yearly basis, from Rs. 14.4 crore in H1FY25 to Rs. 13.9 crore in H2FY25.
Its Net Profit YoY rose by 2,871 percent from Rs. 0.17 Crores in H2FY24 to Rs. 5.33 Crores in H2FY25. On a half-yearly basis, it improved significantly from a net loss of Rs.1.42 crore in H1FY25 to a profit of Rs. 5.33 crore in H2FY25. The earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Rs. 5.47, compared to Rs. 1.46 in the previous year.
The company has a P/E ratio of 13.91, significantly lower than the industry average of 43.86, indicating potential undervaluation. It maintains a healthy financial position with a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.76. Promoter shareholding is strong at over 65 percent, reflecting confidence in the business.
Segment Revenue & Others
In Q4, the company saw significant revenue growth across most segments. Solar Power Generation segment revenue increased from Rs. 3.93 crore in H1FY25 to Rs. 6.16 crore in H2FY25. Contract Receipt segment declined from Rs. 10.45 crore in H1FY25 to Rs. 7.69 crore in H2FY25.
