What’s the News?
AXISCADES Technologies Limited, a leading Indian defence technology solutions provider, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with France-based Cilas S.A., an expert in laser technologies for high-value fields. The partnership aims to jointly promote and develop advanced Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) technologies tailored to the needs of the Indian Armed Forces.
Central to this collaboration is the introduction of Cilas’ state-of-the-art high-energy laser weapon system, Helma-P, renowned for its precision and operational success in NATO missions, the Paris Olympics, and the French Navy.
Under the MoU, AXISCADES will design the system architecture suited to Indian Army requirements, while both companies will work together on co-developing and integrating a vehicle-mounted C-UAS solution. The powerful Helma-P laser will be incorporated into AXISCADES’ indigenous command and control system, furthering India’s self-reliance in defence technologies.

AXISCADES is also committed to localize the necessary maintenance equipment and take part into the manufacturing of Helma-P, in order to ensure its production and sustainability within India.”
Mr. Oliver Prat, CEO, Cilas said “AXISCADES’ expertise in engineering is well-known in the French defense ecosystem, and they have been among the precursors in India to enter antidrone warfare, with impressive orders from Army. Thus, it is with great pleasure that Cilas is teaming up with AXISCADES to explore how to serve the dynamic Indian market.
