Shares of NBCC (India) Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that it has secured three Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects worth approximately Rs. 132.28 crore in the ordinary course of business. The contracts include the construction of two permanent Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) campuses in Assam and a sports hostel project in Odisha.
NBCC (India) Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 27,229.50 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 100.74 apiece on the stock exchange. The stock has declined 3.95 percent over the last five trading sessions, while it has declined 2.63 percent over the last month. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs. 125.85 and a 52-week low of Rs. 77.18.
According to the company’s exchange filing, NBCC has been awarded two PMC contracts by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for the construction of permanent campuses at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, South Salmara (Assam) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, West Karbi Anglong (Assam). Each project is valued at approximately Rs. 55.46 crore, excluding GST. In addition, the company has received a Rs. 21.36 crore PMC contract from the Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha, for the construction of a 200-bed sports hostel in Sambalpur adjacent to the Dr. Jhasaketan Sahu Swimming Pool. The aggregate value of the three projects stands at approximately Rs. 132.28 crore, excluding GST.
All three contracts have been awarded by domestic government entities under the Project Management Consultancy model and are part of the company’s regular business operations. The company also clarified that the projects do not involve any promoter interest or related-party transactions.
The latest order wins further strengthen NBCC’s position in the government infrastructure and project management segment. Under the PMC model, NBCC oversees planning, design, tendering, execution supervision, quality control, and project delivery while earning consultancy fees rather than undertaking construction on its own. This asset-light business model generally requires lower working capital and carries comparatively lower execution risk than EPC contracts.
The projects also align with the government’s continued focus on strengthening educational and sports infrastructure. Investments in new school campuses, hostels, academic institutions, and sports facilities have increased under various central and state government initiatives aimed at improving access to quality education and developing sports infrastructure, creating sustained opportunities for project management and engineering consultancy companies.
For investors, the Rs. 132.28 crore order inflow strengthens NBCC’s already robust order book and enhances revenue visibility. Continued project wins across education, healthcare, housing, urban development, and public infrastructure are expected to support long-term earnings growth while reinforcing the company’s leadership in the government consultancy and project execution space.
Established in 1960, NBCC (India) Limited is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The company operates across three key business segments—Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC), and Real Estate Development—and has executed numerous government infrastructure projects across India.
