Synopsis: Aluwind Infra-Tech Limited (formerly Aluwind Architectural Limited) has approved a Rs. 20 crore capacity expansion to nearly 2.5 times its existing façade panel production capability. The expansion will increase production from 20 panels per day to 50 unitized panels per day, with commercial production expected to commence in Q1 FY28, strengthening the company’s ability to cater to rising demand in the façade and construction industry.
Shares of Aluwind Infra-Tech Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company’s Board approved a proposal for a capacity expansion aimed at significantly enhancing its façade manufacturing capabilities. The investment is expected to support future growth by increasing production capacity and addressing rising demand from the infrastructure and real estate sectors.
Aluwind Infra-Tech Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 112 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 45 apiece on the stock exchange. The stock has declined 6.93 percent over the last month. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs. 95.80 and a 52-week low of Rs. 40.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the existing façade manufacturing facility has the capacity to produce up to 20 panels per day and is currently operating close to full utilisation. To meet increasing customer demand, the Board has approved setting up an additional facility of approximately 40,000 square feet, which will increase production capacity to 50 unitized façade panels per day. The expanded facility is expected to commence commercial production from Q1 FY 2027-28.
The company plans to invest approximately Rs. 20 crore in the expansion project, which will be financed through banks and financial institutions. The primary objective of the investment is to expand production capacity and cater to rising demand for façade solutions across commercial, residential and infrastructure projects.
The proposed expansion is strategically significant as it will increase Aluwind’s manufacturing capacity by around 150 percent, allowing the company to execute larger projects and improve order fulfilment timelines. Since the existing facility is already operating near full capacity, the new manufacturing unit is expected to remove production constraints, improve operational efficiency and support future revenue growth as new orders are secured.
Demand for aluminium façade systems has been rising steadily, driven by increasing construction of high-rise residential buildings, commercial office spaces, airports, hospitals, hotels and other infrastructure projects. Modern façade solutions not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of buildings but also improve energy efficiency, durability and sustainability, making them an integral part of contemporary architecture.
India’s construction and infrastructure sectors continue to benefit from rising urbanisation, government spending on infrastructure, commercial real estate development and smart city initiatives. With developers increasingly adopting premium façade systems, companies possessing specialised manufacturing capabilities and execution expertise are well positioned to benefit from sustained long-term demand.
For investors, the capacity expansion represents a long-term growth initiative rather than an immediate earnings catalyst. The proposed investment is expected to strengthen Aluwind’s production capabilities, improve capacity utilisation and support larger order execution once the facility becomes operational. If demand remains robust, the expansion could contribute meaningfully to revenue growth and operating leverage from FY28 onwards.
Incorporated in April 2003, Aluwind Infra-Tech Limited (formerly Aluwind Architectural Limited) is engaged in the manufacturing, fabrication and installation of a diversified range of aluminium architectural products. The company provides façade systems, curtain walls, windows, doors, glazing solutions and other customised aluminium products catering to commercial, residential, industrial and infrastructure projects across India.
