What is the NEWS
Indotech Transformers, which is a transformer manufacturing company, has received an approval from NTPC Limited to manufacture 400 kV class transformers for BESS (Battery Energy Storage System). This is an important milestone for the company, as until now its range of products was up to 220 kV. It means that now the company has entered into the Extra High Voltage (EHV) category, and at the same time, it has got its first order for two 90 MVA, 400 kV transformers from a reputed EPC company.
The project will enhance the prospects for growth of the company since it will qualify the company to become a part of the more significant utility, transmission, renewable energy, and BESS projects. The move into the 400 kV market also increases the strength of the product range and the market position of the company in the power transmission industry, which is seeing a rising demand for high voltage products. With the increase in investments in the power transmission infrastructure and the clean energy infrastructure, the approval will create more business opportunities for the company.

YoY analysis: Revenue from operations has increased from Rs. 206 Crores in Q4 FY25 to Rs. 239 Crores in Q4 FY26, up 16 percent. Operating profit has increased from Rs. 21 Crores to Rs. 32 Crores, up 52 percent and net profit has increased from Rs. 21 Crores to Rs. 24 Crores, up 14 percent.
QoQ analysis: Revenue from operations has increased from Rs. 196 Crores in Q3 FY26 to Rs. 239 Crores in Q4 FY26, up 22 percent. Operating profit has decreased by Rs. 1 Crore from Rs. 33 Crores to Rs. 32 Crores and net profit has also decreased by Rs. 1 Crore from Rs. 25 Crores to Rs. 24 Crores
