Shares of NBCC (India) Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that it has secured two new work orders aggregating approximately Rs. 108.85 crore (excluding GST) in the normal course of business. The projects have been awarded by government agencies and further strengthen NBCC’s execution pipeline in the education and public infrastructure segments.

What are the new orders?
According to the company’s exchange filing, NBCC has received a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract worth approximately Rs. 20.42 crore from the National Horticulture Board for the construction of a Clean Plant Centre Laboratory and Office Building at ICAR-CITH, Srinagar under the Government of India’s Clean Plant Programme.
The company has also secured a second PMC contract worth approximately Rs. 88.43 crore from the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack for the construction of boys’ and girls’ hostels at various locations across Odisha. Both contracts are domestic in nature and do not involve related-party transactions.
Although the combined order value of Rs. 108.85 crore is modest compared to NBCC’s large order book, the contracts reinforce the company’s strong relationship with government departments and public sector institutions. As a Project Management Consultancy company, NBCC earns fees for designing, supervising and executing infrastructure projects without taking significant construction risks, making the business relatively asset-light and cash-efficient.
Such government projects also provide stable revenue visibility because they are generally backed by public funding and involve lower credit risk compared to private sector projects. Regular order inflows help maintain execution momentum while supporting future earnings growth.
Government infrastructure
India continues to increase capital expenditure on public infrastructure, education, healthcare, urban development and scientific research facilities. Projects such as educational institutions, laboratories, hostels and government buildings are creating sustained opportunities for companies with strong project management capabilities.
NBCC remains one of the largest beneficiaries of this trend, given its leadership in redevelopment projects, government construction, urban infrastructure and project consultancy. The company has consistently secured orders from central ministries, state governments and public sector organizations, ensuring a diversified and recurring pipeline of projects.
NBCC (India) Limited is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The company operates across three major business segments Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) and Real Estate Development. It executes a wide range of government infrastructure projects, including institutional buildings, housing, urban redevelopment, healthcare, educational facilities and smart city developments across India.
