With a market capitalisation of Rs.5,23,368 cr, the shares of Larsen & Toubro Ltd closed at Rs. 3804.30 per share, up from its previous close of Rs. 3,785.25 per share.
About the order
Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Residential, Commercial Buildings & Factories (RCF) business has secured a major order worth Rs. 5,000–10,000 crore for a large-scale housing redevelopment project in Mumbai. The contract has been awarded by a reputed client and further strengthens L&T’s order book in the buildings and factories segment.
The project involves the design and construction of 26 high-rise residential towers, each rising 120 metres, on a turnkey basis. The scope includes structural works, architectural finishes, and electromechanical services, making it one of the significant residential redevelopment projects in Mumbai.
To ensure faster project execution and meet stringent timelines, L&T will deploy its large-wall panel precast construction technology, under which building components will be manufactured at a dedicated precast facility and assembled at the project site. The technology is expected to improve construction quality, productivity, and delivery speed.
Recent Orders
On July 24, 2026, Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Heavy Engineering arm has secured Large-category international orders valued between Rs. 2,500 crore and Rs. 5,000 crore. Key wins include a major order from Africa’s Dangote Group for mega refinery and multi-train fertilizer expansion projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia, encompassing critical equipment such as the world’s largest Fluid Catalytic Cracking Reactor Regenerator Package.
Additional orders include repeat business from a Japanese client for LNG project heat exchangers in Canada, along with contracts for process equipment across Spain, the United States, and Brazil.
On July 20, 2026, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) secured multiple “Mega” class orders valued between Rs. 10,000 crore and Rs. 15,000 crore for its Metals & Minerals (M&M) business vertical.
The project wins include an 18 MTPA Iron Ore Handling Plant package in Chhattisgarh for India’s largest public sector iron ore producer, expansion packages for a Navratna public sector steel plant in West Bengal (expanding capacity from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA), and an EPC order for a Zinc Processing Plant from a major private sector metals producer.
With these latest wins, L&T has secured orders worth up to Rs. 30,000 crore over the past week, reinforcing its strong order inflow across infrastructure, heavy engineering, and metals & minerals businesses.

In FY26, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced its highest-ever order intake of Rs. 4.36 lakh crore, which is a year-on-year increase of 22 percent from Rs. 3.57 lakh crore in FY25. Domestic orders were at Rs. 1.85 lakh crore, whereas international orders amounted to Rs. 2.51 lakh crore, demonstrating robust demand in the global market.
The order book of the company on 31 March 2026 increased by 28 percent YoY to reach Rs. 7.40 lakh crore, wherein the contribution of international projects was 52 percent. The largest segment that contributes to the order book were Infrastructure (57 percent) and Energy (35 percent).
With respect to geography, the contribution of India to the order book was 48 percent, the Middle East contributing 40 percent, thereby exhibiting the strong presence of L&T in the Gulf region, whereas the remaining 12 percent was contributed by other international geographies.
For FY27, the identified opportunity pipeline for L&T was around Rs. 17.8 lakh crore, which has been backed by growth opportunities in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and services segments within domestic as well as international geographies.
