Synopsis: Wipro has expanded its strategic partnership with Databricks by establishing a dedicated business practice focused on helping enterprises modernize data infrastructure and deploy AI at scale. The initiative builds on more than 300 AI and data use cases delivered globally and is expected to strengthen Wipro’s position in the rapidly growing enterprise AI services market.

Shares of Wipro Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced an enhanced strategic partnership with Databricks to help enterprises modernize their data infrastructure and accelerate enterprise-wide artificial intelligence adoption. As part of the collaboration, Wipro has established a dedicated Databricks business practice that will develop industry-specific AI solutions, accelerators and consulting services for clients across multiple sectors.

Wipro Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 1,79,364 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 181.30 apiece on the stock exchange, up by 1.55 percent. The stock has gained 4.14 percent over the last five trading sessions and gained 3.32 percent over the past month. The stock touched a 52-week high of Rs. 273 and a 52-week low of Rs. 169.

According to the company’s press release, the enhanced partnership aims to help enterprises transition from fragmented data environments and isolated AI pilots to fully governed, enterprise-scale AI deployments. The collaboration combines Databricks’ capabilities in agentic AI, data modernization, analytics and application development with Wipro Intelligence, the company’s AI-powered suite of platforms and solutions. Leveraging Wipro’s WEGA agent-native delivery platform, the practice will support clients in migrating from legacy systems to scalable AI-ready data architectures.

The newly established business practice is built on Wipro’s experience of delivering more than 300 agentic AI and data use cases across industries including banking and financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and energy. It has also received industry recognition from Databricks, winning the 2025 Banking Partner of the Year and 2026 Innovation Partner of the Year awards, highlighting the strength of the long-standing collaboration.

The partnership significantly expands Wipro’s AI offerings by enabling enterprises to implement practical, industry-specific use cases rather than generic AI solutions. These include wealth management optimization for banks, AI-led sales and marketing transformation for telecom operators, financial planning automation for chief financial officers, manufacturing supply chain resilience and asset performance optimization for energy companies. Such specialised solutions typically command higher-value consulting engagements and create long-term client relationships.

This collaboration also strengthens Wipro’s competitive positioning in the global IT services industry, where enterprises are increasingly shifting spending from traditional digital transformation projects toward AI-enabled business transformation. As organisations move beyond experimentation and begin deploying AI at scale, demand for partners capable of integrating data platforms, governance and AI applications is expected to accelerate, creating a significant growth opportunity for large IT service providers.

The announcement further reinforces Wipro’s strategy of expanding its AI-led consulting business while increasing recurring revenue from enterprise transformation projects. By combining consulting expertise with proprietary AI platforms and strategic technology partnerships, the company aims to deepen relationships with existing clients and win larger digital transformation mandates in global markets.

Wipro Limited is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company. Ranked as India’s fourth-largest IT services company, Wipro provides cloud computing, cybersecurity, engineering, digital transformation, AI, analytics and business process solutions to clients across industries worldwide. Through its consulting-led approach and AI-powered Wipro Intelligence platform, the company helps enterprises modernize operations, accelerate digital transformation and build intelligent, data-driven businesses across more than 65 countries.
