The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is all set to resume on 17th May, after a short break due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan earlier this month. The league was temporarily suspended following security concerns, but the situation is now little bit under control, the board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the new schedule for the matches.

Why Was IPL 2025 Suspended?

On May 8, a match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings was called off following security alerts related to military tensions near Dharamsala. To keep everyone safe, the BCCI decided to Pause the league. However, after diplomatic talks and a ceasefire agreement which got violated, now the situation is in control. Our Indian Army’s, Defense’s, Navy officers are doing their best to protect us.

This sudden break affected team plans and player availability, especially for foreign players who had started returning to their home countries. Thankfully, with clear instructions from the BCCI and security agencies, IPL 2025 is back on track.
