Bharti Airtel was in focus after it reported its Q4 results for FY25, where it reported strong Yearly Revenue and Net Profit growth, followed by strong ARPU growth

With a market capitalization of Rs. 10,43,485 Crore, the stock of Bharti Airtel opened at Rs. 1,831, up 0.55 percent from yesterday’s close, and after opening, it made a high of Rs. 1,870, up 2.69 percent. Additionally, the Yearly return for the stock is 43 percent, and the past 5-year return is 237 percent.

Financial Highlights and Dividend Recommendation

The company reported a 27.33 percent YoY increase in revenue from Rs. 37,599 Crore in Q4FY24 to Rs. 47,876 Crore in Q4FY25. On a QoQ basis, the company reported an increase of 6.08 percent in revenue from Rs. 45,129 Crore in the previous quarter. Their Net profit saw an increase of 503.28 percent YoY from Rs. 2,068 Crore to Rs. 12,476 Crore for the same period. On a QoQ basis, the company reported a decrease of 22.67 percent in Net profit from Rs. 16,135 Crore in the previous quarter.

Major Factors that contributed to the company’s multifold increase in the Company’s Net Profit can be attributed to high revenue growth, strong operational efficiency, as the expenses growth was less than the revenue growth, and lower exceptional losses for Q4FY25 when compared to Q4FY24.

The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 16 per share for the face value of Rs. 5 each and for the partly paid-up equity shares dividend has been recommended of Rs. 4 per share, that have a face value of Rs. 5 each, of which Rs. 1.25 per share is the paid-up value. The dividend is subject to shareholders’ approval at the AGM.

Since partly paid-up shares have only 25 percent of the value paid (Rs. 1.25 out of Rs. 5), they receive 25 percent of the full dividend, which is Rs. 4 (i.e., 25 percent of Rs. 16) Mobile ARPU increased to Rs. 245 in Q4FY25 compared to Rs. 209 in Q4FY24, data consumption was up 21.20 percent YoY to 25.10 GB per month per customer. Smartphone data customers stood at 77 percent of the total customers for the Company.
