The shares of the telecom equipment manufacturer gained up to 5 percent after the company bagged prestigious work orders from domestic and international clients worth Rs 76.21 Crores.

With a market capitalization of Rs 13,158.62 crore, the shares of HFCL Ltd were trading at Rs 91.21 per share, increasing around 3.06 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 88.50 apiece.

The shares of HFCL Ltd have seen positive movement after securing purchase orders worth Rs 76.21 Crores, including an export order of USD 6.91 Million (Rs 59.19 Crores) from an overseas telecom firm and a domestic order of Rs 17.02 Crores from ITI Limited, for optical fiber cable supply. Additionally, on May 16, the government introduced the 6 GHz band licensing exemption rules, 2025, expected to boost demand for 6G equipment orders.

Financial & operational Highlights

Looking forward to the company’s financial performance, revenue down by 2 percent from Rs 1,032 crore in Q3FY24 to Rs 1,012 crore in Q3FY25. Further, during the same time frame, net profit decreased by 11 percent from Rs 82 crore to Rs 73 crore. 

HFCL secured major orders under BharatNet Phase III, including Rs 2,501.3 crore for Punjab Telecom and Rs 2,167.65 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for Uttar Pradesh. Its order book rose to Rs 10,410 crore, up from Rs 6,151 crore last quarter, indicating strong growth in telecom infrastructure projects.

HFCL launched two innovative Unlicensed Band Radios with over 350,000 deployments, boosting its telecom product portfolio. The company aims to expand production capacity and improve efficiency. It also plans a major increase in export revenue from optical fiber and telecom products, aligning with evolving global market demands.

HFCL remains focused on securing contracts across domestic and international markets in the coming quarters, with a strong emphasis on data centers and rural connectivity projects, aligning with rising infrastructure needs and digital expansion initiatives.
