About the order

Oriental Rail Infrastructure announced that it has won a work contract from Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, Indian Railways, worth Rs 6.57 crores for the Supply and Installation of 88 sets of coach set of seats and berths for LSCN/BW2 coach. The delivery is to be executed by January 31, 2026.

It stated that the delivery is to be made to the Furnishing Division/ICF, Chennai.  Further, up to 90 percent of the supply portion shall be made on proof of inspection certificate and Provisional Physical Receipt  Certificate, and the balance payment of 10 percent of the supply portion, along with 100 percent installation charges, will be made after receipt.

Financial Highlights

The company reported a revenue of Rs 152.82 crores in Q3 FY25, up by 4.25 percent, from its Q3 FY24 revenue of Rs 146.58 crores. It reported a net profit of Rs 7.52 crores in Q3 FY25, down by 40 percent from its Q3 FY24 net profit of Rs 12.51 crores. 

The stock delivered an ROE and ROCE of 15.21 percent and 12.26 percent respectively and is currently trading at a P/E of 40x as compared to its industry average of 27.31x.

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited is engaged in offering a variety of products tailored for the railway and industrial sectors in India. They offer everything from compreg wood sheets and foam blocks to seat and berth components, phenolic resins, and architectural boards. Plus, they produce artificial leather under the ORVIN brand, perfect for footwear, upholstery, and bags. On top of that, they manufacture heavy engineering items like railway bogies, couplers, draft gears, and wagons, and they also deal in timber, metals, and casting tools.
