On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Indian equity markets continued their upward momentum for the second straight session, supported by favorable global cues and renewed investor confidence. The BSE Sensex surged 443.79 points to close at 81,442.04, while the Nifty 50 gained 130.70 points to settle at 24,750.90.

The broader markets also advanced, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising 0.65 percent to 58,303.00 and the Nifty Smallcap 100 climbing 0.96 percent to 18,432.60, reflecting sustained buying interest in the broader segment.

Among sectoral performers, Nifty Realty rose 1.75 percent, followed by Nifty Pharma with a gain of 1.28 percent and Nifty Healthcare up 1.07 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty Auto index slipped 0.11 percent due to profit-booking after recent gains.
