The shares of this realty-based company surged by approximately 5 percent after the company announced that it had signed a joint development agreement for a residential project in Whitefield, Bengaluru.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 16,506 crores, the shares of Embassy Development Ltd are currently trading at Rs 121 per share, down by 26.4 percent from its 52-week high of Rs 164.40 per share. In the last six months, the stock has delivered a positive return of 3 percent.

Embassy Developments Ltd. has entered into a Joint Development Agreement for a 17.9-acre parcel of land in Whitefield, Bengaluru, to develop a premium residential project with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of Rs 1,600 crore. 

Located right off Whitefield Main Road, the project will directly benefit from high connectivity, easy access to hospitals, schools, malls, tech parks, and strategic infrastructure under development like the Peripheral Ring Road and the Metro Purple Line.

The development will have a total saleable area of 1.6 million sq. ft., targeting around 1,000 apartments, ranging from 2, 2.5, and 3 BHK formats, primarily for IT and ITeS professionals, with a launch planned for FY2027.

Financial Highlights

The company reported a revenue of Rs 2,180 crores, up by 427 percent from its FY24 revenue of Rs 414 crores. Additionally, it reported a net profit of Rs 194 crore in FY25 from a loss of Rs 1,038 crores in FY24.

The stock delivered an ROE and ROCE of 2.83 percent and 6.07 percent, respectively, and is currently trading at a P/E of 100x as compared to its industry peers of 39.76x.
