The shares of the leading air conditioner manufacturer gained up to 4 percent in today’s trading session after the company foray into the rapidly growing segment of energy solutions, including Solar inverters (on grid, off grid, and hybrid), Battery Energy Storage Systems, and others.

With a market capitalization of Rs 23,033.11 crore, the shares of Amber Enterprises India Ltd were trading at Rs 6,797.85 per share, decreasing around 0.69 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 6,845.05 apiece.

According to the company filing, ILJIN Electronics (India), a material subsidiary of Amber Enterprises, has signed a Share Purchase and Shareholders’ Agreement to acquire a majority stake in Power-One Micro Systems. Following the deal, Power-One will become a subsidiary of ILJIN and a step-down subsidiary of Amber Enterprises, enhancing its capabilities in power solutions and strengthening its overall business portfolio.

Furthermore, the transaction will enable the Amber group to foray into the rapidly growing segment of energy solutions, including Solar inverters (on grid, off grid and hybrid), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), UPS, solar power plants, and EV chargers and augment the Industrial segment of Electronics Division of the Company. 

Additionally, Power-One is a prominent player and offers comprehensive solutions of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar inverters, solar power plants, UPS solutions, EV chargers, and other products to a wide spectrum of customers.

Looking forward to the company’s financial performance, revenue increased by 34 percent from Rs 2,805 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 3,754 crore in Q4FY25. Further, during the same time frame, net profit increased by 19 percent from Rs 99 crore to Rs 118 crore.

Amber Enterprises’ Electronics Division operates five facilities with ongoing expansion at Hosur. It has two main business verticals PCB Assembly (PCB-A) under Ever Electronics and Bare PCBs via Ascent Circuits and Korea Circuit. The division aims to benefit from MeitY’s Rs 22,919 crore Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme by applying under relevant PCB categories to enhance domestic capabilities.

Amber’s Electronics Division is expanding with a ₹650 crore investment in a new Ascent facility at Hosur, targeting 8.4 lakh SqM annual capacity in two phases, with production by Q4 FY26. Its JV with Korea Circuit (70:30) strengthens the bare PCB portfolio, serving mobile, IT, and semiconductor sectors with HDI, Flex, and semiconductor substrates.

Amber Enterprises India Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of consumer durable products. The Company is a solution provider for the air conditioner original equipment manufacturer (OEM) /original design manufacturer (ODM) industry in India.
