Global events/updates

  • The India-US mini trade deal is nearing a decision, though the timeline for an official announcement from the White House remains uncertain. President Trump must now decide whether to accept India’s proposal or seek further negotiations. 
  • With the reciprocal tariff deadline extended to August 1st, interim deal discussions are still possible. Talks so far have been largely positive, with only a few unresolved issues remaining.
  • China’s restrictions on critical mineral exports have significantly impacted the hearables industry, mainly due to disruptions in the supply chain of magnets, which are essential components. The Indian government plans to initiate talks with China to address these restrictions and stabilize supply in the near future.
  • UAE has denied rumors about granting lifetime #GoldenVisa to certain nationalities.
