Palmer was awarded Best Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances, highlighted by two goals and one assist in the final. His creative play and ability to handle pressure won him the Golden Ball, as well as, the Man of the Match Award for the final.
Golden Glove – Robert Sánchez (Chelsea)
The Chelsea keeper was vital on his side’s route to the title. Sánchez kept a clean sheet through several games, including the final, and made vital saves under huge pressure. It was felt that the Golden Glove was well deserved by him for consistency and handling the job.
Young Player of the Tournament – Désiré Doué (PSG)
Although PSG lost in the final, the young midfielder impressed with his maturity, skill, and vision for the entire tournament. These qualities stood out in his breakout performances that earned him the Young Player of the Tournament.
Golden Boot – Gonzalo García (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid forward Gonzalo García was the Golden Boot winner for being the top scorer in the tournament. His clinical finishing and attacking threat in the final third were why he earned the Golden Boot.
