Sachin Tendulkar, who wrote history in the cricket field, is now also making headlines with his investments in start-ups. He focused sharply on innovative as well as consumer-centric brands while promoting few businesses from start-up status to maturity. Here’s a carpet roll out of five recent startup investments by Mr. Tendulkar:
1. JetSynthesys
- Sector: Mobile and Fan Engagement Gaming, Digital Entertainment, Fintech
Tendulkar invested into JetSynthesys in the year 2021, thereby supporting the platform’s initiatives in the development of mobile gaming and fan engagement; while recognized as the maker of the popular game “Sachin Saga Cricket Champions”, JetSynthesys also drives his official application, 100MB. This is an entry of Sachin into the combination of power of the brand with advanced technology.
2. Spinny
- Sector: Pre-owned Car Marketplace
Sachin began funding the startup and became brand ambassador in 2021. Spinny is the rapidly developing channel for trading used cars and is the one providing the hot Tendulkar-backed transparency and trust. He also shared a part in their advertisement campaign with badminton champion PV Sindhu
3. Kissht
- Industry: Fintech / Digital Lending
In December 2024, Tendulkar joined Kissht as a visionary investor and brand ambassador. Kissht provides quick, paperless credit to consumers across India. With this move, Tendulkar stepped into the growing fintech space, supporting access to easy credit and digital finance.
4. Smartron
- Industry: IoT, Smart Devices
Tendulkar became an early investor to guide the business and brand ambassador in Smartron back in 2016. Though not brand-new, Smartron has seen renewed momentum in recent years with its smart home and wearable tech products. His involvement highlights an interest in India’s growing tech hardware sector.
5. Smaaash Entertainment (Acq. by Nazara)
Industry: VR Gaming, Sports Entertainment Smaaash captures the essence of sport by immersing the end-users within an experience of virtual reality. He invested in the company back in 2013, but since the reopening of venues in cities like Raipur and Vijayawada, things have changed positively for the brand largely post-COVID. Therefore, Tendulkar is reaping the rewards of the early bet he placed on experiential gaming.
Business Beyond the Pitch
From gaming to digital lending, Sachin Tendulkar’s investment strategy is rooted in innovation, trust, and mass consumer appeal. Whether it’s tech, finance, or entertainment, each venture aligns with his personal brand of excellence and credibility. As he continues to explore new industries, one thing is clear: Tendulkar’s second innings in the business world is just as impactful as his cricket career.
