The opening weekend will begin with a high-energy match at Anfield and will feature some exciting clashes, including a big game at Old Trafford.

What’s New This Season? 

  • Promoted Teams: Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland have secured promotion from the Championship and will be making their return to the Premier League. 
  • Derby Return: The iconic Tyne-Wear derby between Sunderland and Newcastle will take place in the Premier League for the first time since the 2015-16 season. 
  • New Technology: Semi-automated offside technology will be used in all matches to help referees make faster and more accurate decisions. 
  • New Match Ball: German brand Puma replaces Nike as the official match ball provider. TV Coverage and Match Timings 
  • A record number of 267 matches will be shown live on television this season. 
  • All opening weekend matches including Liverpool vs Bournemouth, Man United vs Arsenal, and Chelsea vs Crystal Palace will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and TNT Sports in the UK. 
  • Matches will mostly be played at traditional UK times: 3:00 PM on weekends and 7:45 PM during midweek fixtures. 
  • Kick-off times and matchdays may change based on TV selections or cup competitions.
