Jaipur Police Register FIR After New Allegation – Indian Premier League pacer Yash Dayal, currently playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has been booked for allegedly raping a minor girl. The First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Jaipur’s Sanganer Police Station.
Allegation Details
- The FIR accuses Dayal of repeatedly raping a girl over a two-year period.
- The survivor claims she was 17 when the sexual assaults began.
- Dayal allegedly used emotional blackmail and false promises about helping her cricket career to lure her.
- The first alleged incident took place in a Jaipur hotel in Sitapura.
- Police have registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Previous Case in Ghaziabad
- Earlier this month, Dayal was named in another FIR filed at Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram Police Station.
- The allegations in that case involve sexually exploiting a woman under the false promise of marriage, brought under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
- The complainant says Dayal began the relationship about five years ago and continued to delay marriage, with her later learning he was involved with other women as well.
- The complaint in the Ghaziabad matter was initially filed through the chief minister’s online portal on June 21, 2025.
Court Proceedings and Current Status
- The Allahabad High Court recently granted a stay on Dayal’s arrest in connection with the Ghaziabad FIR.
- The court has directed both the state counsel and the latest complainant to submit their responses.
- Dayal has petitioned for both a stay on his arrest and the quashing of the FIR in the Ghaziabad case.
- Legal proceedings are ongoing in both cases, and Dayal remains in the RCB squad as investigations continue.
- Note: Both cases are under investigation, and further details may emerge as the legal process unfolds.
