This Penny Textile Stock, engaged in manufacturing cotton yarn, woven and knitted fabrics, finished garments, home textiles, and wind power generation, serving domestic and international markets, jumped 10 percent after the company reported June quarterly results with a 148 percent QoQ increase in net profit.

With a market capitalization of Rs. 238.81 crores, the share of Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited has reached an intraday high of Rs. 31.99 per equity share, rising nearly 10.39 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 28.98. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 29.88 per equity share. 

Q1 FY26 Result Walkthrough

Coming into the quarterly results of Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited, the company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased by 0.71 percent YOY, from Rs. 215.86 crore in Q1 FY25 to Rs. 217.39 crore in Q1 FY26, and decreased by 3.61 percent QoQ from Rs. 225.52 crore in Q4 FY25.

In Q1 FY26, Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited’s consolidated net profit increased by 46.15 percent YOY, reaching Rs. 4.56 crore compared to Rs. 3.12 crore during the same period last year. As compared to Q4 FY25, the net profit has increased by 147.83 percent, from Rs. 1.84 crore. The basic earnings per share increased by 117.24 percent and stood at Rs. 0.63 as against Rs. 0.29 recorded in the previous quarter in the financial year 2024-25.

Financial Highlights: Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited’s revenue has decreased from Rs. 924 crore in FY24 to Rs. 887 crore in FY25, which is a drop of 4 percent. The net profit of the company converted from negative to positive, from a net loss of Rs. 14 crore in FY24 to a net profit of Rs. 7 crore in FY25.

In terms of return ratios, the company’s ROCE and ROE stand at 4.49 percent and 1.82 percent, respectively. Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited has an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 1.8, and its debt-to-equity ratio is 1.13x.

Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited was incorporated in 1989 and is part of the Bannari Amman Group. The company is a vertically integrated textile company engaged in the manufacture of cotton yarn, woven and knitted fabrics, finished garments, home textiles, and wind power generation. 

The company operates an extensive value chain from fiber to finished textiles, ensuring quality and efficiency across processes.  The company’s product range includes cotton yarn, woven and knitted fabrics, and home textile products. They also have a retail brand called “BITZ”.  BASML’s manufacturing facilities are located in Tamil Nadu, India.

Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited’s manufacturing capabilities include spinning mills producing 90 tons of yarn per day, knitting machines producing 30 tons of grey knitted fabric daily, weaving looms producing 7.5 lakh meters per month, and fabric processing units producing 14 tons of dyed fabric daily. Additionally, it generates 35.4 MW of green energy per year through windmills.
