Such deals, often executed by institutional investors, mutual funds, or high-net-worth individuals, can indicate significant investor interest or strategic shifts in ownership.
Here are the stocks in focus in which prominent investors bought stakes via bulk deals;
HFCL
HFCL Limited is a leading Indian technology and telecom infrastructure company specializing in optical fiber cables, telecom equipment, and network solutions. The company plays a key role in powering India’s digital connectivity, with strong expertise in 5G, defense communication, and next-generation broadband networks across domestic and global markets.
With a market capitalization of Rs 11,231.21 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 77.85 per share, decreasing around 0.56 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 78.29 apiece.
According to the exchange, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has bought 74.9 lakh shares (equivalent to 0.5% of paid-up equity) in the fiber optic cable maker at an average price of Rs 78.45 per share, amounting to Rs 58.8 crore.
Annapurna Swadisht
Annapurna Swadisht Limited is a rapidly growing Indian FMCG company known for its affordable and quality packaged food products. According to the exchange, Varanium Capital Advisors bought 2.3 lakh shares, which is equivalent 1.05% stake in Annapurna Swadisht, the snack food manufacturing company, at an average price of Rs 273.54 per share for Rs 6.29 crore.
Jay Bee Laminations Limited
Jay Bee Laminations Limited is a leading manufacturer of electrical steel laminations and core assemblies used in transformers, motors, and other power equipment. With advanced technology and a focus on quality and precision, the company serves major OEMs across India, supporting the nation’s growing power and infrastructure needs.
With a market capitalization of Rs 324.75 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 143.90 per share, increasing around 2.64 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 140.20 apiece.
According to the exchange, Varanium Capital Advisors purchased 1.35 lakh shares via a bulk deal, representing a 0.6 percent stake in Jay Bee Laminations, the transformer components maker, at Rs 145.28 per share for Rs 1.96 crore.
