With a market capitalization of Rs. 27,649.53 crores, the shares of PNB Housing Finance Limited has reached an intraday high of Rs. 1087.95 per equity share, rising nearly 7.70 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 1010.20. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 1,063.75 per equity share. 

What Happened

Quality Investment Holdings PCC is expected to sell its entire 10.44 percent stake in the company through block deals, according to CNBC-TV18. The sale is likely to take place at a floor price of Rs. 960 per share. This move signals a possible exit by the investor and may impact the stock movement depending on the market response.

As of March 2025, PNB Housing Finance Limited had a majority stake held by domestic institutional investors at 29.88 percent, the promoters at 28.10 percent, foreign institutional investors at 21.45 percent, and the public at 20.57 percent. This diversified shareholding reflects strong institutional confidence in the company.

Q4 results & operational highlights

PNB Housing Finance Limited is doing well with its financial growth. The company manages assets worth Rs. 80,397 crore, up 13 percent from last year. Its loan assets are at Rs.  75,765 crore, growing 16 percent YOY.

The company’s deposits have reached Rs. 17,642 crore, with 87 percent from the public and 13 percent from ICD, showing strong trust from customers. PNB Housing Finance Limited’s net interest income has increased from Rs. 632 crore in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 734 crore in Q4 FY25, which has grown by 16.14 percent. The net profit has also grown by 25.28 percent from Rs. 439 crore in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 550 crore in Q4 FY25.

Looking at the financial ratios, the company’s Net Interest Margin (NIM) is 3.75 percent in Q4 FY25, up 10 bps YOY, and 3.70 percent for FY25. Capital adequacy stands at 29.38 percent, and the gearing ratio is 3.70x. Net NPA improved to 0.69 percent as of March 2025, down from 0.80 percent in December 2024 and 0.95 percent in March 2024.

Geographical Presenc

PNB Housing Finance Limited expanded its office network, growing from 300 branches in March 2024 to 356 branches in March 2025. It also has over 14,000 channel partners for loans and deposits, showing a wide distribution network compared to smaller housing finance companies.
