Synopsis:
The company’s shares rose after Q1FY26 net profit surged 75% YoY and revenue grew 19%. The company expanded grey cement capacity to 25.26 MTPA and approved a ₹195 crore white cement project, while strengthening its power assets and paint portfolio.

The shares of the prominent manufacturer of Grey Cement gained up to 2 percent in today’s trading session after the company’s net profit and revenue zoomed by 75 percent and 19 percent, respectively, in Q1FY26.

With a market capitalization of Rs 50,248.20 crore, the shares of JK Cement Ltd were trading at Rs  6,509.30 per share, increasing around 0.26 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 6,492.55 apiece.

The shares of JK Cement Ltd have seen bullish movement after reporting positive results in Q1FY26. Revenue decreased by 6 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs. 3,581 crore in Q4FY25 to Rs. 3,353 crore in Q1FY26. Further, Revenue increased by 19 percent year on year, from Rs 2,808 crore in Q1FY25 to Rs 3,353 crore in Q1FY26.

The company’s net profit decreased by 10 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from Rs.361 crore in Q4FY25 to Rs. 324 crore in Q1FY26. Further, net profit increased significantly by 75 percent year on year from Rs 185 crore in Q1FY25 to Rs 324 crore in Q1FY26.

JK Cement’s board has approved capacity expansion at its Ujjain plant, raising cement capacity from 1.5 to 2 MTPA. The company’s total grey cement capacity now stands at 25.26 MTPA. It also approved a Rs.195 crore investment in a 0.6 MTPA white cement wall putty plant in Rajasthan.

JK Cement boasts a robust infrastructure with 25.26 MTPA grey cement capacity and 3.05 MTPA white cement and wall putty capacity. Its power assets include 184.14 MW of green power, 82.3 MW of WHRS, and 101.84 MW of solar and wind capacity, alongside 77.5 MW of coal-based captive power. The company is also expanding its JK Maxx Paints portfolio.
