The shares of the Chemicals product manufacturer gained up to 3 percent after the company’s board approved expanding the production capacity at its new fertilizers unit.
With a market capitalization of Rs 272.72 crore, the shares of Kesar Petroproducts Ltd were trading at Rs 28.21 per share, decreasing around 2.39 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 28.90 apiece.
Reason for Rise
According to the company filing, Kesar Petroproducts Ltd.’s board of directors approved the commencement of water trials at its new fertilizers unit in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The proposed capacity addition is 6,000 MT per year, with an investment of ₹15 crore, financed through loans and internal accruals.
Moreover, with this capacity enhancement, the company aims to increase the monthly production of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude to 900 tons, Alpha Blue to 200 tons, and Beta Blue to 300 tons. These colorants are crucial in diverse industries, including printing inks, paints, plastics, ceramics, and cosmetics.
Financial condition
Analyzing the company’s financial performance, revenue zoomed by 58 percent from Rs 30.90 crore in Q2FY24 to Rs 48.72 crore in Q2FY25 but during the same time, net profit stretched by 648 percent from Rs 0.39 crore to Rs 2.92 crore.
