2025 Spotlight: Sai Sudharsan Shines Bright

Sai Sudharsan was the toast of IPL 2025, not only securing the Emerging Player award but also taking home the Orange Cap  a rare feat for a young gun. Representing Gujarat Titans, the stylish left-hander racked up a jaw-dropping 759 runs at an average of 54.21, including a century and six half-centuries. He became the youngest ever to cross the 700-run mark in an IPL season a statement of class and temperament.

His stand-out moment? An explosive 80-run knock in the high-stakes Eliminator against Mumbai Indians, showcasing his calm under pressure and ability to anchor a chase. More than 60% of his runs came through the off-side, especially through covers and point reflecting his precision and control. He also dominated in the powerplay, averaging close to 40 in the first six overs.
