Synopsis: India’s crypto SIP users grew 60% in 2025. Most beginners started with ₹100 monthly investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum, replacing frequent trading with systematic saving.
India’s crypto investors are forming a fresh financial routine. Instead of frequent trading, many are now investing fixed small amounts every month. This change, in fact, has accelerated crypto SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) adoption across major platforms.
Indian crypto exchanges reported 60%+ growth in SIP investments during 2025. The surge is largely driven by young, first-time retail investors testing crypto with tiny monthly deposits.
Most users started with ₹100 to ₹500 per month. This highlights how early-stage the trend still is, but also shows rising confidence in automated investing.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Ripple (XRP) became the top monthly SIP choices due to strong communities and long-term market presence. Crypto investing in India is slowly looking similar to mutual fund investing, especially for new-age investors.
Retail Platforms Report Massive Growth
Indian exchanges first launched crypto SIP features in 2021, but adoption picked up real pace in 2025.
- CoinDCX recorded a 600% year-on-year rise in SIP users since 2022.
- The platform added 5.7 lakh+ new users to SIP plans in 2025.
- These users created 5.72 lakh SIPs, mostly starting at ₹100/month.
- Bitcoin remained the top SIP asset on CoinDCX, followed by Ethereum and Solana.
CoinSwitch, on the other hand, reported a 59% increase in new SIP registrations in 2025. Users favored Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, keeping their deposits beginner-friendly.
Mudrex logged a 220% rise in fresh SIP openings in 2025. Its users also invested more than average, with ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 per month by late 2025.
Mudrex’s CEO said that small SIP options made crypto easier for beginners to trust.
CoinSwitch’s co-founder also confirmed that investors are now holding crypto for longer periods instead of quick trades.
Retail investors are shaping a barbell SIP trend. Many start at ₹100–₹500, while some scale up to ₹4K–₹6K monthly later, as a result showing gradual conviction after first deposits.

Automated SIP Tools
Global exchanges are also tracking India’s SIP wave. Bybit India recorded 25–30% more users adopting its DCA Bot for SIP investing. The tool automatically buys crypto at fixed intervals, making SIP investing fully hands-free.
Bybit India users invest $80–$100 per month, which converts to ₹6,600 to ₹8,300 per month. Most allocations remain Bitcoin and Ethereum, keeping large-cap assets the center of monthly investing.
Binance offers a similar tool called “Recurring Buy.” Its APAC lead confirmed that recurring crypto buys are increasing, mainly in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Binance keeps SIP deposit sizes small on purpose to encourage long-term investing instead of short-term trading. As a result, Indian investors, especially youth, now prefer automated SIP bots to avoid emotional market timing.
Crypto SIPs are now widely seen as India’s “mutual fund equivalent” approach to crypto, offering structured, low-risk entry for beginners, but higher consistency for long-term holders.
Institutional Participation
Indian exchanges are also seeing stronger participation from institutional investors.
CoinDCX, CoinSwitch, ZebPay, and Mudrex recorded 30–50% year-on-year institutional investment growth in 2025. These inflows now form a large share of total platform trading volume.
In comparison, Binance reported only 14% global institutional growth in 2025. This means India’s institutional crypto expansion is significantly faster than the global average.
ZebPay’s COO said that crypto SIPs could turn mainstream in India by early 2026. The platform is also preparing to launch its SIP feature in early 2026, joining the monthly accumulation race.
He also stated that improved onboarding and awareness around rupee-cost averaging will make SIP investing even simpler. Therefore, India is not just trading crypto anymore. It is consistently accumulating crypto every month.
