Bharat Dynamics Limited, a PSU Defence stock, reports 30% YoY revenue growth and a 155% YoY net profit surge in Q1 FY26 results.

This PSU Defence stock, engaged in the design, development, manufacture, and supply of missile systems and allied defense equipment, jumped 5 percent after the company reported June quarterly results with a 155 percent YoY increase in net profit.

With a market capitalization of Rs. 55,814.64 crores, the share of Bharat Dynamics Limited has reached an intraday high of Rs. 1,563 per equity share, rising nearly 5.19 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 1,485.85. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 1,522.65 per equity share. 

Q1 FY26 Result Walkthrough

Coming into the quarterly results of Bharat Dynamics Limited, the company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased by 29.70 percent YOY, from Rs. 191.16 crore in Q1 FY25 to Rs. 247.93 crore in Q1 FY26, and decreased by 86.05 percent QoQ from Rs. 1,776.97 crore in Q4 FY25.

In Q1 FY26, Bharat Dynamics Limited’s consolidated net profit increased by 154.51 percent YOY, reaching Rs. 18.35 crore compared to Rs. 7.21 crore during the same period last year. As compared to Q4 FY25, the net profit has decreased by 93.27 percent, from Rs. 272.77 crore. The basic earnings per share increased by 150 percent and stood at Rs. 0.50 as against Rs. 0.20 recorded in the same quarter in the previous year, 2025.

Financial Highlights: Bharat Dynamics Limited’s revenue has increased from Rs. 2,369 crore in FY24 to Rs. 3,345 crore in FY25, which is a growth of 41.20 percent. The net profit has decreased by 10.28 percent, from Rs. 613 crore in FY24 to Rs. 550 crore in FY25. Bharat Dynamics Limited’s revenue and net profit have grown at a CAGR of 5.89 percent and 3.23 percent, respectively, over the last three years.

In terms of return ratios, the company’s ROCE and ROE stand at 19.6 percent and 14.4 percent, respectively. Bharat Dynamics Limited has an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 14.99, and it’s an almost debt-free company.

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, established in 1970 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. It is a leading manufacturer of ammunition and missile systems for the Indian Armed Forces.

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) operates multiple manufacturing units located in Hyderabad (Kanchanbagh), Bhanur (Medak district), and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), with plans for new units in Telangana and Maharashtra.
