The shares of the prominent defence company gained up to 5 percent in today’s trading session after the company’s net profit and revenue increased by 180 percent and 28 percent YoY, respectively, in Q4.

With a market capitalization of Rs 5,154.38 crore, the shares of MTAR Technologies Ltd were trading at Rs 1,675.70 per share, increasing around 0.38 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 1,663.70 apiece.

Q4 Highlights

The shares of MTAR Technologies have seen positive movement after reporting positive Q4 results, revenue increased by 5 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs 174 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs 183 crore in Q4FY25. Further, revenue increased by 28 percent year on year, from Rs 143 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 183 crore in Q4FY25.

The company’s net profit decreased by 12.5 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, from Rs. 16 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs.14 crore in Q4FY25. Further, net profit magnified significantly by 180 percent year on year from Rs 5 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 14 crore in Q4FY25.

The company posted a mixed FY24- 25 performance, with revenue increasing 16 percent from Rs 580 crore to Rs 676 crore. Net profit fell 4 percent, from Rs 56 crore to Rs 54 crore, reflecting weak profitability over the previous financial year.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Parvat Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director & Promoter, MTAR Technologies, said, “ We have maintained a healthy growth trajectory in FY 25 by registering 16% growth in revenue YoY. Nearly Rs. 200 Crs of revenue is generated from new products added over the past couple of years, underscoring the trust of our customers and technological leadership. There shall be a sequential improvement in EBITDA margins over the coming quarters as we scale up the production of first article orders across various sectors.”

Operational Highlights

MTAR secured  Rs 720.11 Cr in FY25 orders across clean energy, aerospace & defence, and others. As of March 31, 2025, the diversified order book stood at  Rs 979.4 Cr. Clean energy (civil nuclear, fuel cells, hydro) dominates with 64.5% share. Sales restated due to forex and price adjustments.

Over the past 2–3 years, MTAR added major customers across clean energy, aerospace, oil & gas, and healthcare. Notable names include Fluence, GE Power, Voith, GKN Aerospace, Thales, Collins Aerospace, Weatherford, and GE Healthcare, strengthening its presence in battery storage, hydro, aerospace, and industrial sectors.

MTAR Technologies Limited is engaged in the manufacture of mission critical precision components with close tolerances (5-10 microns) and in critical assemblies, to serve projects of high national importance, through its precision machining, assembly, testing, quality control and specialized fabrication competencies, some of which have been indigenously developed and manufactured.
