Former Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi passed away at the age of 77 in London on June 23, 2025. Known for his graceful left-arm spin and unshakable control, Doshi was one of the few Indian bowlers who made a significant mark internationally despite debuting late in his career.

Dilip Doshi made his Test debut in 1979 at the age of 31, a rare feat in modern cricket. But age was no barrier for him. He made an immediate impact, taking 6 wickets in his debut match and quickly becoming one of India’s go-to spinners.

He is survived by his wife Kalindi, his son Nayan Doshi a former cricketer himself and his daughter Vishakha, who carry forward his legacy.
