In the second quarter of FY26, the SBI Group strategically invested in multiple leading companies, acquiring fresh stakes worth approximately Rs. 16,109.10 crore across key sectors such as banking, infrastructure, energy, and technology. 

These investments highlight the group’s optimism toward India’s long-term growth prospects and reinforce its focus on strengthening portfolio diversity and maximizing shareholder returns through sustainable, value-driven expansion.

Here are a few stocks in which SBI Group bought a fresh stake worth up to ₹16,109 Cr in Q2 FY26

Adani Energy Solutions Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,18,452.47 crore, the shares of Adani Energy Solutions Limited were currently trading at Rs. 986.05 per equity share, rising nearly 2.17 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 965.10. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Equity Hybrid Fund, acquired a fresh stake of 3.4 percent in Adani Energy Solutions Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 3,851.6 crore and consists of 4.07 crore shares.

Adani Energy Solutions Limited is engaged in providing efficient energy solutions, focusing on renewable energy, and energy management services to support sustainable and clean energy development across India and international markets.

Jindal Steel Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,09,067.82 crore, the shares of Jindal Steel Limited were currently trading at Rs. 1069.20 per equity share, down nearly 0.01 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 1069.35. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group acquired a total fresh stake of 2.3 percent in Jindal Steel Limited, which includes 1.14 percent through SBI Large & Midcap Fund and 1.12 percent through SBI Pension Fund Scheme E. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 2,388.3 crore and consists of 2.31 crore shares.

Jindal Steel Limited is engaged in manufacturing steel products, including flat and long steel items, serving construction, automotive, and infrastructure sectors with high-quality steel solutions that meet diverse industrial needs in India and abroad.

ZF Commercial Vehicle Control System India Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 23,616.63 crore, the shares of ZF Commercial Vehicle Control System India Limited were currently trading at Rs. 12451.05 per equity share, down nearly 2.90 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 12823.55. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Nifty 500 Index Fund, acquired a fresh stake of 8.4 percent in ZF Commercial Vehicle Control System India Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 2,053.1 crore and consists of 15.88 lakh shares.

ZF Commercial Vehicle Control System India Limited is engaged in designing and manufacturing automotive components focused on control systems and safety technologies for commercial vehicles, enhancing vehicle performance, safety, and efficiency in the Indian automotive industry.

Oberoi Realty Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 64,503.04 crore, the shares of Oberoi Realty Limited were currently trading at Rs. 1774 per equity share, rising nearly 1.41 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 1749.40. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Equity Hybrid Fund, acquired a fresh stake of 2.1 percent in Oberoi Realty Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 1,326.7 crore and consists of 76.37 lakh shares.

Oberoi Realty Limited is engaged in real estate development, offering premium residential, commercial, and retail properties across major cities in India, focusing on quality construction, innovative design, and customer satisfaction in urban living spaces.

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 93,778.63 crore, the shares of Dixon Technologies (India) Limited were currently trading at Rs. 15497.10 per equity share, down nearly 0.98 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 15650.55. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, acquired a fresh stake of 1.4 percent in Dixon Technologies (India) Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 1,283.7 crore and consists of 8.28 lakh shares.

Dixon Technologies (India) Limited is engaged in manufacturing electronic products and appliances, including LED lights, mobile phones, and consumer electronics, providing end-to-end electronics manufacturing and innovation services for domestic and global markets.

Swiggy Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,02,251.99 crore, the shares of Swiggy Limited were currently trading at Rs. 410.05 per equity share, rising nearly 1.93 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 418.10. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, acquired a fresh stake of 1.1 percent in Swiggy Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 1,170.8 crore and consists of 2.75 crore shares.

Swiggy Limited is engaged in online food delivery and logistics services, connecting customers with restaurants and grocery stores across cities, providing fast, reliable delivery and a digital platform for ordering food and daily essentials.

ABB India Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,10,530.35 crore, the shares of ABB India Limited were currently trading at Rs. 5215.95 per equity share, down nearly 1.13 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 5275.35. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Pension Fund Scheme E, acquired a fresh stake of 1 percent in ABB India Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 1,110.6 crore and consists of 21.20 lakh shares.

ABB India Limited is engaged in power and automation technologies, supplying electrical equipment, robotics, and automation solutions to industries, utilities, and infrastructure projects to improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in India.

Aurobindo Pharma Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 66,132.98 crore, the shares of Aurobindo Pharma Limited were currently trading at Rs. 1138.65 per equity share, rising nearly 3.28 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 1102.50. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Large & Midcap Fund, acquired a fresh stake of 1.7 percent in Aurobindo Pharma Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 1,091.8 crore and consists of 99.67 lakh shares.

Aurobindo Pharma Limited is engaged in manufacturing and marketing generic pharmaceuticals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and biosimilars, catering to global healthcare needs with a wide range of quality medicines across multiple therapeutic areas.

Oil India Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 70,554.11 crore, the shares of Oil India Limited were currently trading at Rs. 433.75 per equity share, down nearly 0.24 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 434.80. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Pension Fund UPS CG Scheme, acquired a fresh stake of 1.5 percent in Oil India Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 998.4 crore and consists of 2.36 crore shares.

Oil India Limited is engaged in oil and gas exploration, production, and refining, contributing to India’s energy security through upstream operations, including crude oil and natural gas extraction, and downstream petroleum products.

HDB Financial Services Limited

With a market capitalization of Rs. 60,670.36 crore, the shares of HDB Financial Services Limited were currently trading at Rs. 731.35 per equity share, down nearly 0.45 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 734.65. 

In the September quarter of 2025, SBI Group, through SBI Midcap Fund, acquired a fresh stake of 1.4 percent in HDB Financial Services Limited. This investment has a holding value of Rs. 834.1 crore and consists of 1.14 crore shares.

HDB Financial Services Limited is engaged in providing financial products, including loans, asset finance, and wealth management services, targeting individuals and businesses to support financial inclusion and economic growth in India.
