With a market capitalization of Rs 6,707 crores, the shares of Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd are currently trading at Rs 31.5 per share, down by 44.2 percent from its 52-week high of Rs 56.50 per share. Over the last five years, the stock has delivered a return of 571.28 percent.
Financial Highlights
The ethanol-based company reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 10,914 crores in FY25, down by 3.51 percent from its FY24 revenue of Rs 11,311 crores. On a year-on-year basis, the company reported a revenue decline of 20.31 percent to Rs 2,691 crores in Q4 FY25 from Rs 3,376 crores in Q4 FY24. However, on a quarterly basis, it reported a revenue growth of 3.38 percent from Rs 2,603 crores.
Coming to its profitability, it narrowed down its losses to Rs 300 crores in FY25 from Rs 627 crores in FY24. Notably, the company turned around to a profit of Rs 93 crores in Q4 FY25 from consecutive losses in the last few quarters.
It mentioned that the production of ethanol saw a 2 percent increase, while sales of ethanol were up substantially by 13% year on year. Overall, cane crushing went down by 17 percent, with major reasons being inadequate crop yields in major sugar-producing states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. Despite this decline in cane availability, the company registered refinery sales of 14.25 lakh metric tonnes for the year.
