The strong earnings performance has reignited investor interest, reflecting a potential turnaround in the company’s financial trajectory.
During Friday’s trading session, the shares of Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd reached an intraday high of Rs.50.90 per share, rising 4 percent from its previous close of Rs.48.97 per share. The shares retreated since the peak and are trading at Rs.49.15 per share. Over the past five years, the stock has delivered over 160 percent returns.
Financial Performance
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd saw a notable rise driven by strong net profit and revenue growth, as highlighted in its latest financial results.
In Q4 FY25, the company reported revenue of Rs.459.06 crore, marking a 20.15 percent year-on-year increase from Rs.382.05 crore in Q4 FY24. Sequentially, revenue grew 45.05 percent from Rs.316.39 crore in Q3 FY25, indicating strong quarterly momentum.
The company posted a net profit of Rs.46.33 crore in Q4 FY25, rising 102.42 percent from Rs.22.89 crore in the same quarter last year. Furthermore, net profit surged 332.67 percent sequentially from Rs.10.72 crore in Q3 FY25, reflecting a significant improvement in profitability.
For the full year FY25, total revenue stood at Rs.1,365.32 crore, down 20.68 percent from Rs.1,721.24 crore in FY24. Annual net profit declined 72.06 percent, from Rs.83.51 crore in FY24 to Rs.23.33 crore in FY25.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd recorded a total segment revenue of Rs.629.71 crores, with the sugar segment contributing Rs.440.15 crores and the distillery segment adding Rs.189.56 crores. After accounting for inter-segment revenue of Rs.170.86 crores, the company’s income from operations stood at Rs.458.85 crores, reflecting a robust performance across both segments, with sugar being the primary revenue contributor.
Manufacturing Facilities and Capacity
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd operates three plants in Uttar Pradesh India’s largest sugar-producing state with two located in Bijnor District Dwarikesh Nagar and Dwarikesh Puram and one in Bareilly District at Dwarikesh Dham. The Bijnor plants focus on cane production in the fertile well irrigated land while the Bareilly plant benefits from its location in the low-lying Gangetic plains with alluvial soil. All plants are strategically positioned near major sugar-consuming markets and connected via the National Highway.
The Dwarikesh Nagar plant has a capacity of 6500TCD for sugar 20MW of power and 162.5KLPD for ethanol while Dwarikesh Puram produces 7500TCD of sugar and 33MW of power. Dwarikesh Dham the largest handles 7500TCD of sugar 41MW of power and 175KLPD of ethanol. These capacities reflect the company’s strong infrastructure to meet demand in the sugar and ethanol markets as of the sugar season ending September 30 of the previous year.
