The shares of Polyplex Corporation Ltd have delivered 37,374 per cent returns as they have zoomed from Rs 6 to the current levels of Rs 2,053 a piece in twenty-two years. This shows the power of compounding which can be achieved by long-term investments. 

If an investor would have invested Rs 1 lakh in the company in September 2000, the total value of their holdings would be Rs 3.74 Crores today. The shares reached their all-time high of Rs 2,870 in April 2022. At that point, the total value of Rs 1 lakh would have been 4.28 Crore as the shares logged a return of 42,722%. 

Polyplex Corporation is engaged in the manufacturing of BOPP, Blown PP/PE and CPP films used in the flexible packaging industry and in industrial usages like release liners, tapes, and labels among others. 

In Q1FY23, the company reported total revenue of Rs 2,032 crores which is an increase of 41 per cent from Rs 1,439 crores which they earned in the same quarter a year prior. On a sequential basis, their revenue increased by 10 per cent from Rs 1,885 crores. 

Their net profit in the quarter under review stood at Rs 311 crores which is a jump of 69 per cent from Rs 185 crores in Q1FY22. In the previous quarter in March, their profit stood at Rs 304 crores. 

The company has a market capitalization of Rs 6,357 crores as on September 16th, 2022. They have a high dividend yield of 5.13%. The TTM PE of the company is 9.87 compared to the industry average of 9.79. 

The promoters of the company hold a 50.97 per cent stake with zero shares pledged. The Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) hold a 12.78 per cent stake in the company. Ace investor Dolly Khanna holds a 1.25 per cent stake in the company.
