The border indices opened in green on the last trading session of the week. The Sensex was up 280.27 points or 0.52% at 53696.42, and the Nifty was up 84.30 points or 0.53% at 16023.
Amid the volatility in the market, here are some of the Tata group stocks that have fallen the most and are trading at a huge discount from their 52-week high.
Nelco Limited
The shares of Nelco Limited opened at Rs 638 in Friday’s session as against its previous close of Rs 624. Till 10.30 am the stock was up by 0.14% and is trading at Rs 624 levels.
So far this year the stock has been very volatile and has declined by more than 13% YTD. The stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 971.95 in October last year. Currently, it is trading at a 35% discount from its high.
The National Radio & Electronics Company (NELCO) is engaged in the manufacturing, trading, and selling of consumer electronic products, business systems, and office products. It also introduced India’s first LAN inter-connectivity products. It is a subsidiary of Tata Power.
Tejas Networks Limited
The shares of Tejas Networks Ltd opened at Rs 470 in Friday’s session as against its previous close of Rs 465. Till 10.30 am the stock was up by 1.75% and is trading at Rs474 levels.
So far this year the stock has been very volatile and has gained more than 11% YTD. The stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 570.90 in April this year. Currently, it is trading at a 17% discount from its high.
Tejas Networks is an optical, broadband, and data networking products company of the Tata group. It has built many IPs in multiple areas of Telecom networking and has emerged as an exporter to multiple developing countries.
Trent Limited
The shares of Trent Limited opened at Rs 1,182 in Friday’s session which is at par with its previous close. Till 10.30 am the stock was up by 1.53% and is trading at Rs 1,197 levels.
So far this year the stock has been on an uptrend and has increased by more than 13% YTD. The stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 1,346.85 in April last year. Currently, it is trading at an 11% discount from its high.
Trent Limited is an Indian retail company, which is part of Tata Group. The company operates Westside, a retail fashion chain, and Landmark, a bookstore chain. It also operates Zudio, an affordable fashion for men, women, and children.
Tata Consultancy Services Limited
The shares of Tata Consultancy Services Limited opened at Rs 3017 in Friday’s session as against its previous close of Rs 3,003. Till 10.30 am the stock was up by 0.04% and is trading at Rs 3,000 levels.
So far this year the stock has been very volatile and has lost more than 21% YTD. The stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 4,043 in January this year. Currently, it is trading at a 26% discount from its high.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) s the second largest Indian company by market capitalization and is among the most valuable IT service brands worldwide. It provides information technology (IT), business solutions and consulting services.
